Our Something To Chew On for teen girls, a group for girls in 9th through 12th grade,  will be launching in January of 2020.

This group will be overseen by two Titus women, Dawn Donohue, and Maria Searles. A Titus woman is one who has a passion to encourage and look after younger women, teaching and modeling for them what it looks like to be a woman of God.

While the group will be geared towards teen girls and the get-togethers will have a different feel, the mission for this group will mirror the STCO mission for women: Connect, Encourage and Grow in faith through authentic stories.

The group will also have young adult mentors who will mentor and shepherd the younger girls. We want the young ladies in this group to make this their own, to have their own input, use their leadership skills, share their talents and own the group with the loving guidance of the adult women.

We look forward to providing a time and place for teen girls to make meaningful connections, share their stories and struggles, be supported, make new friends, have fun and grow in their faith.

We are currently working to develop a format for this group so more information will be available in September.

Maria Searles

Maria lives in East Hampton, CT with Jon, her husband of seventeen years and their three children; Isabella, Catherine, and Landon. Together they love to cook, travel or snuggle on the couch with a good movie. She also likes to be outside, especially during the warmer months when she can run and hike. Maria teaches at an intermediate school where she focuses on math instruction and intervention. She is passionate about walking beside other women in authentic community and strives to encourage others to live their identity in relation to who they are in Christ. Maria is especially drawn to shepherding and emboldening young women to know their worth and embrace how they are uniquely and wonderfully made.

Dawn Donohue

Dawn has been married to her husband, Trent, for twenty years, and is the mother of Emma, Maggie, and Jace. A former medical Speech-Language Pathologist, she now works as a math interventionist at her local middle school. Dawn has discovered a passion for building relationships with young people by speaking words of hope and encouragement into their lives. Dawn has learned the immense value that our stories have in connecting us in authentic relationships and impacting lives for Jesus, and is excited to link arms with others as they discover who they are in Christ. She also loves good books, Starbucks, and all things summer.
